Positions follow the calculated score, with no editorial ordering. A tool that hides its price behind sign-up gets zero on that criterion and the label "Price not public".
What it really costs per month
The advertised price is almost never the price you pay. Some charge by the week, others only on the annual plan, others sell credits separately. This table puts everything in the same unit, the equivalent monthly cost, with the amounts we read on each pricing page.

Two readings come out of that. The cheapest unlimited chat on the list is Candy AI on its annual plan, at under €4 a month, and the most expensive AI girlfriend is Kupid, which looks the most affordable because it shows its price per week. And six of the eleven publish no price before sign-up: in the ranking they carry the “Price not public” label and lose the 2.5 points of the criterion.
How far the free tier goes
This is the figure no directory publishes, and the only one that decides whether signing up is worth it. When we open the tool and count for ourselves, the line says “What we measured” and carries a date. When the figure comes from the vendor’s page, it says “What the site says”.
- Perchance, chat and image generator: no account, no card and no stated limit. It is the only free tier on the list without an asterisk.
- Candy AI: 5 messages in total and 1 blurred image. The sixth message opens the payment window. Measured on 16 September 2026.
- SoulGen: 1 creation a day, with the image blurred, and a block on the second attempt with “Exceed free limits”. Measured on 16 September 2026.
- Kupid AI: 0 messages. The chat opens and shows the scenario, but the first send requires sign-up. Measured on 16 September 2026.
- CrushOn AI: 100 message credits per month, replies cut at 225 characters and history deleted after seven days without use. The site publishes this itself, and is one of the few that does so in full.
- NovelAI: 30 images and 50 texts, one time only. Measured on 21 September 2026: we generated an image with the V5 Curated model and the counter went from 30 to 29, with no card requested. That is why it carries the free trial badge and not the freemium one. The result is on AI waifu.
Paying without a card, and with no trace on the statement
It is the part least talked about and the one that causes the most problems from Spain and from Latin America. Three different situations coexist on this list.
Those that do not accept a direct card. SoulGen charges via local wallet, codes bought on G2A or crypto, and its “card” goes through a crypto intermediary. Chub AI only accepts crypto, no exceptions. Seduced charges via Epoch, Payblis or crypto. If your usual payment method is an ordinary card, check this before counting on the subscription.
Those that promise discretion on the statement. Kupid AI spells it out, “no adult transaction in your bank statement”, and Swipey advertises a charge under a neutral name. It is a vendor promise, not something we have verified with a bank.
Those that bill on a recurring basis. All annual plans renew by themselves. Candy AI is the only one on the list that publishes a specific refund policy: 24 hours, and only if you have spent 20 tokens or fewer. SoulGen is the only one with a monthly plan that does not renew.
Do they speak Spanish? We checked one by one
Almost the whole sector is written in English first, and a translated interface changes the experience completely. The criterion is worth 1 point out of 10, and on 21 September 2026 we opened all twenty-one requesting the page in Spanish to see what each one served, and also looked at whether the language was available in their settings. No line was left unverified.
Six respond in Spanish without touching anything: Candy AI, CrushOn AI, SoulGen, OpenLover, CreatePorn and Seduced. Four have it available but do not serve it by default: JanitorAI and Muah.AI offer Spanish in their settings but open in English, OurDream serves French from Europe with Spanish in its selector, and Kupid mixes the two languages on its home page. Eleven exist only in English, among them Nomi, NovelAI, Promptchan, SoulFun, Nectar, HeraHaven, Civitai, Chub and the two Perchances.
What we measure here is the interface, not the quality of the conversation in Spanish. The language checked is Spanish, the ranking’s original language. When we test the chat language by language, the tool sheet will say so with its date, like the rest.
How the score is calculated, in three lines
Seven criteria, fixed weights, a total out of 10: the pricing model is worth 3 points, output types 1.75, the level of filtering 1.5, the quality of the test plus its freshness another 1.5, the Spanish language 1, the absence of mandatory sign-up 0.75 and the existence of a chat 0.5. The highest score goes first, ties are broken alphabetically, and the “Calculation” button on each line opens the detail criterion by criterion.
A tool that hides its price table behind sign-up gets zero on the criterion with the most weight. That is not an opinion about it, it is the consequence of a decision of its own. The How we rate page details each weight and how to send us a correction.
AI girlfriend, chat or generator: not the same product
The twenty-one fall into three families that are not bought the same way. AI girlfriends like Candy, Kupid, Nomi or SoulFun sell an ongoing relationship: conversation, voice, photos of the character, memory. Their free tier is usually generous with text and hard on anything visual. Unfiltered chats like CrushOn, JanitorAI or Perchance sell a catalogue and freedom of writing, and charge per message or for memory. Generators like SoulGen, Promptchan, NovelAI or CreatePorn sell credits: one prompt, one unit, one file.
The output types criterion rewards whoever offers more formats, not a specific format, so the score does not compare apples with oranges. Four checks before subscribing
- Look for the price before signing up. If it is not there, you already know something about the house. Six of the eleven that charge hide it.
- Look at who processes the payment. CCBill, Epoch, Payblis, Stripe or crypto: it appears on the plans page or at the first step of checkout.
- Check how to cancel before paying, not after. All annual plans renew by themselves.
- Count what the free tier gives using the figure on its line in this ranking, not the promise on the home page.
Frequently asked questions
Which is the best AI girlfriend?
The first in the ranking, and the score explains why. As of today SoulGen and Candy AI are tied at the top with 8.3 out of 10, and the difference lies in what you are looking for: Candy if you want conversation and a character, SoulGen if you want to generate image and video with a public credits table. If you do not even want to sign up, the best is still Perchance, ninth with 6.5. The “Calculation” button on each line shows the detail.
Is there a truly free AI girlfriend?
Perchance, with no account, no card and no stated limit, with quality below the paid ones. The rest are freemium: mandatory account and a quota that runs out, sometimes in five messages. The full list is on free AI girlfriend.
Can you pay without a card?
Yes, and in some cases it is mandatory. Chub AI only accepts crypto, SoulGen uses local wallet, G2A or crypto, and Seduced charges via Epoch or Payblis. The others accept cards through a specialised processor.
Does the charge show up as adult content at the bank?
Kupid AI and Swipey say it does not. That is what they declare, not something we have verified with a bank statement, and it is noted as such on their tool sheets.
Do these tools work in Spanish?
Some do and some do not, and we have not yet measured them one by one. Candy AI declares Spanish in its interface, OurDream and OpenLover have a language selector, Kupid and Perchance exist only in English. The criterion counts as neutral until we run the test.
Is it legal to use them?
Adult content with fictional characters, all of them adults, is legal in Spain and in most of Latin America. Creating or distributing sexual images of a real person without their consent is a crime, and any content involving minors is a crime in all circumstances. No tool on this list is recommended for that.
Do you make money from these links?
From some, and it is written under the button when that is the case. The commission does not enter any of the seven criteria and does not move a single position. A tool with no affiliate programme competes on equal terms.
