Uncensored AI chat: ranking of the platforms
Unfiltered character chats, from AI companions to bot communities. The fourteen platforms in this category are ordered by calculated score, and each row says whether you can chat without creating an account, how many messages the free tier delivers when the site publishes that number, and whether the price is public. Anyone looking for an unfiltered ChatGPT for generic text will only find character chats here.

No tool matches this filter.
Positions follow the calculated score, with no editorial ordering. A tool that hides its price behind sign-up gets zero on that criterion and the label "Price not public".
The only one you can try without an account
Of the fourteen, only one lets you write without signing up: Perchance AI Character Chat, which opens in the browser, asks for no email and states no message limit. The trade-off shows in the score: a spartan interface in English, partial filtering because each community generator has its own rules, and replies below the paid models.
All the others ask for an account before the first message. Kupid AI takes it to the extreme: the chat opens, shows the scenario and the character’s first line, and sending is blocked by a sign-up window, as we measured on 16 September 2026.
Memory, history and limits: what really sets one chat apart from another
The number of messages is the first thing people look at and rarely what decides. What makes a conversation hold up is the model’s memory and what the vendor does with your history.
| Platform | Free tier limit | What happens to the history |
|---|---|---|
| CrushOn AI | 100 message credits a month, replies cut at 225 characters, 8K memory | Deleted after 7 days of inactivity |
| Candy AI | 5 messages in total, measured on 16 September 2026 | Kept in the account |
| Perchance | No stated limit | Only in your browser, no sync between devices |
| Nomi AI | Free to start, quota not published | Long-term memory, its main selling point |
| JanitorAI | Free use with an account, no public table | Tied to the account |
| Chub AI | One-off trial credits, “a few dozen messages” | Tied to the account |
CrushOn’s case deserves a paragraph: it is the only one that publishes its entire table, and that transparency makes it look stingier than those that say nothing. The score corrects for that in the testing criterion, where a published, verifiable quota weighs more than a “free” without figures.
Unfiltered does not mean without rules
These platforms declare themselves uncensored for adult content between fictional characters, and that is what our filtering criterion measures, worth 1.5 points. It does not mean everything is allowed: the terms of use of all fourteen prohibit content involving minors and the use of a real person’s likeness without their consent. JanitorAI and Chub, which run on bots uploaded by their community, also have moderation rules that change by character.
We do not check how far each filter goes. Doing so would mean producing content we do not want to produce, and that is written in How we rate. The classification comes from what the vendor states and from what its community reports.
Which one to choose, depending on what you want
To try right now, without giving an email: Perchance. For a companion with memory and voice: Candy AI or Nomi, and the price comparison is in free AI girlfriend. For catalogue and variety of characters: JanitorAI and Chub, with millions of bots created by their users. For the clearest free quota: CrushOn, which at least says what it gives.
