Pro at US$12.99 a month without renewal or US$90.99 a year, with 100 monthly credits; 1 credit per image, 10 to 40 credits per 5 s of video.

SoulGen is an AI image and video generator that today presents itself as an “all-in-one video generator”, with realistic and anime characters, image editing, character chat and an API. It is the most transparent tool on the list on one point almost nobody publishes: the credits table per feature. This review brings together what we measured on two dates, July and September 2026, the prices shown on the plans page and the traps of the free plan.

Pros and cons
Pros
- Public credits table, with the cost shown before each generation
- Cost of every video feature published on the pricing page, model by model
- Annual plan at US$7.58 per month with 100 monthly credits
- Image, video, chat and voice, in realistic or anime style
- Face reference and several images at once on Pro
Cons
- Nominal free tier: 1 creation a day, blurred, and a block on the second attempt
- No simple card button: local wallet, G2A or crypto
- The chat consumes credits, it is not unlimited
- “Discount today only” counter that resets on every visit
- Sign-up required
- Pro renews automatically every month; cancelling goes through a support form
What we measured
- July 2026: the free account delivered one generation a day, with the image blurred. Removing the blur is on the list of Pro benefits.
- 16 September 2026: with the same free account, the first attempt of the day returned no result and the second was blocked with the message “Exceed free limits! Next creation will be available tomorrow”, with a “Subscribe to unlock limit” button. In other words, the quota is still one a day, and the site gives no warning before the click.
- Each creation shows the cost before generating. The Create button reads “1 Credit” for an image and “34 Credits” for a 10-second video with sound on the SoulGen 3.0 model. That is rare and counts in its favour.

SoulGen’s real prices
There is a single paid plan, Pro, in two periods. The amounts are in US dollars on the plans page. The subscription terms published by SoulGen (read on 3 November 2026) set Pro at US.99 per month and state that it renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle, on the same conditions, until you cancel. Cancelling is requested from your account through the support form, and fees already charged are not refunded: Pro access runs to the end of the paid period.
| Period | Price | Per month | Credits | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 month | US$12.99 | US$12.99 | 100 | Renews automatically until you cancel |
| 12 months | US$90.99 | US$7.58 | 100 per month, 1,200 per year | Advertised as 42% off US$155.88 |
Beyond the credits, Pro includes: blur removal, priority queue, generating 4 or 9 images at once, face reference (“Looks like”) and character creation in the chat. The “discount today only” counter resets on every visit; the annual price is simply that.

Payment methods: take care
On the plans page we saw “Pay with Local Wallet”, code purchase via G2A, direct crypto payment and “card via crypto”. There is no simple credit card button. In practice that means trying the “Local Wallet” before counting on the subscription, and knowing the purchase may go through an intermediary.
Credits table, feature by feature
This is the part that makes SoulGen worth reviewing. With 100 credits a month, you know exactly what fits in the plan.
| Feature | Cost in credits |
|---|---|
| Character image | 1 per image; 2 with face reference |
| Human Modeling | 3 per image |
| Smart Edit | 3 to 8 per image, depending on the model and 2K resolution |
| Classic Edit | 3 per image |
| SoulGen 3.0 video | 15 per 5 s, plus 2 with audio |
| SoulOmni 2.0 video | 18 per 5 s in 720p, 30 in 1080p |
| SoulOmni 2.0 Turbo video | 25 per 5 s in 720p, 40 in 1080p |
| Video reference | 20 to 40 per 5 s, plus the same amount if you upload a video |
| Video editing | 4 per second in 720p and 6 in 1080p with SoulOmni 2.0; 5 and 8 with SoulOmni 2.0 Turbo |
| Soul Chat: text message | 0.2 per message |
| Soul Chat: image | 2 per image |
| Soul Chat: voice call | 1 per minute |
| Create a chat character | 10 |
In practice, 100 credits are 100 simple images, or two 10-second videos with audio on SoulGen 3.0 with 32 credits to spare, or 500 chat messages. Anyone who wants video in volume will need the annual plan and will still be counting credits.
How it works
Character generator
Three modes: Real Character, DreamTwin Character and Anime Character. You write the prompt, choose a style (Visionary 2.0, Visionary, Realistic, HyperReal in beta, DreamLens), the 2:3 or 3:2 aspect ratio (anime also accepts 1:1) and the number of images. One image a day is free; 4 and 9 are Pro. “Looks like” accepts a face reference photo and is Pro.

Video generator
Five tabs: image to video, video extension, video reference, video editing (beta) and text to video. The default model is SoulGen 3.0, with a duration of 5, 10 or 15 seconds and an optional sound effect. The natural flow is to generate the image in the character creator and send it to the video tab.

Soul Chat
A gallery of characters with a profession and personality, voice calls and the option to create your own (“Add Soulmate”, Pro). The chat charges 0.2 credits per message, so 100 credits go a long way in conversation, but it is not unlimited as it is with the AI girlfriend competitors.

Filtering and content
The home page and the showcases are restrained: the public pitch is video and characters, not explicit adult content. Adult content exists inside the tools, under the site’s terms, which is why it appears in the uncensored AI ranking and in the AI waifu one. As throughout this site’s methodology, we do not test the limits by producing explicit content.
Who it is for
For anyone who wants image and video with a consistent character, wants to know the price of each click before pressing and accepts paying in dollars. The annual plan at US$90.99 is the best cost per credit in the category among the tools that publish a table.
Who it is not for
For anyone who wants to use it for free: one blurred image a day is good for nothing but looking at the interface. For anyone who wants unlimited chat: here the chat consumes credits. For anyone who needs a direct credit card: check the “Local Wallet” first. If you only want free images with no account, Perchance solves it; if you want an AI girlfriend with unlimited chat, look at Candy AI.
Our verdict
SoulGen earns points for measuring and publishing: cost per feature and a clear annual price. It loses on the free tier, which is nominal, and on payment, which goes through intermediaries. The calculated score above reflects the freemium pricing, the four outputs and the measured test. It is the most rational choice for anyone who has already decided to pay for image and video.
